""They are both so knowledgeable in their field. As a business owner, [you gain] success [by] the people you hire. If you're not good at something, you need to find somebody who is excellent at it. Your business will thrive because someone is doing their job effortlessly because they're knowledgeable. So in these two areas, they're both experts in their fields, they know what they're talking about, and I have complete trust in them.""

The Challenge

Tamara Gollob, owner of I Do Linens — a linen rental company serving weddings, conferences, and galas — built her business on creativity and an eye for affordable luxury. But the financial side of running a growing company proved to be a persistent blind spot. As a self-described creative, Tamara struggled to find accounting professionals who could communicate in plain language and help her understand the story her numbers were telling.

"I've always struggled with trying to find an accountant to speak my language and to explain things to me in common language. I'm a creative, and it's hard being a creative [and] running a business."

Without reliable financial reporting, Tamara lacked the visibility she needed to make confident decisions about where the business was spending, earning, and losing money. She knew she needed someone to run reports and keep things on track — she just hadn't found the right fit yet.

Tamara originally came to BELAY looking for social media support, but when she explored the website, she discovered bookkeeping was also an option. She realized that both gaps needed to be filled, and BELAY could help with both.

The Solution

BELAY paired Tamara with two specialists who proved to be exceptional fits for her business. Bookkeeper Kalee Richardson stepped in first, bringing structure and clarity to I Do Linens' finances with a seamless onboarding process.

"Kalee [provided] a super easy transition. It's been just a piece of cake from the beginning."

A few months later, Social Media Manager Jessica Hubacher joined the team. Jessica's background as a former wedding planner made her an immediate match for the wedding and events market — she understood the industry and quickly identified opportunities to strengthen I Do Linens' social presence.

"[BELAY] found someone who used to be a wedding planner and understands the wedding market [as well as] social media. Immediately, we clicked. She understood kind of what we had been doing with our social media and then came back to me with ways that we could improve and how to implement those [ideas]."

With both contractors, Tamara valued the hands-off approach that followed onboarding — each specialist took ownership of their domain, allowing Tamara to stay focused on growing her business rather than managing the details.

""People get hung up on the cost of having to pay something monthly. But honestly, if they really did the math and they break it down to the amount of work they're physically doing for you, it's such a benefit to having a service provide this for you.""

The Impact

The partnership with Kalee transformed how I Do Linens manages its finances. The two established a weekly call rhythm to review charges, properly categorize transactions, and generate profit and loss reports. Kalee also went deeper — accessing I Do Linens' specialized rental software to identify which products drove the most profit, and taking ownership of outstanding receivables by following up with clients, confirming invoices, and applying late fees.

On the social media side, Jessica monitors algorithm changes in real time and uses performance metrics to continuously refine content strategy. The result is a social presence that actively drives revenue alongside the sales team.

"Social media algorithms change consistently, and you might be doing something one way and you're getting great results but all of the sudden the meta is changed, and that no longer works. Jessica is good at seeing what's going on with the post that she's creating for us. She pulls the metrics so we can see [our progression], and then discuss what other content we can [post] to create more revenue."

For Tamara, the value is immediate and undeniable — and she encourages other business owners to look past the monthly cost and consider what they're truly getting in return.

"It's been so easy. I don't feel like I'm nickel-and-dimed. I don't feel like I'm not getting value for my money. I really feel for me, as a creative and as a business owner with a growing company, it's so beneficial."
